What exactly is Abacus AI Desktop?
It is a desktop application that puts a general AI agent on your own machine. Five modes share one window: CLI, code editor, chat, Listener and CoWork. It writes and debugs code, runs multi-step knowledge work on your local files, browses the web for you, sits in meetings, and follows your screen when you need a hand in the middle of something.
What do I actually get for $7?
Your first month at the promotional price, then $10 per month at the standard rate. In that window you get the desktop app, the coding agent and CLI, CoWork and the meeting Listener, plus access to 100+ AI, image and video models.
Higher tiers give unrestricted agent and CoWork usage. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the month you already paid for.
Is my data safe? Does it train your models?
No. Your data is not used to train models and stays encrypted at all times. Compliance includes SOC-2 Type-2 and HIPAA.
CoWork itself runs in a secure, isolated environment on your machine: it needs explicit permission to reach files, and actions like deletion require confirmation before they happen.
How do I cancel?
From the app: open the top-right menu, go to your profile, then Billing and Invoices — subscription details and cancellation live there. Nothing to call, nothing to email.
